Nine hundred and fifteen students of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo Town, have received the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND)  facility.

The Media and Public Relations Officer of the university, Ashiwaju Wale Adeoye, disclosed this on Saturday in a statement made available to journalists in the state.

Adeoye expressed the university’s gratitude to NELFUND for the support to the students. He also  congratulated  the students  for the opportunity.

‘’This is to inform the university community that the university is in receipt of the loan funds for 915 students of our university.

‘’Our university is grateful to NELFUND for this support to our students. The university also congratulates these 915 students’’, the university spokesperson said.

Adeoye said the loan beneficiaries would be invited to a meeting by the university next week for appropriate documentation and refund the students who already paid the school fees for 2023/2024 session.

He added that the students have the alternative of receiving their money back or use it to pay for the 2024/2025 session school fees.

‘’It is hoped that our students will also apply for 2024/2025 loan when NELFUND opens its platform for the session’’, he added.

Meanwhile, the university has enjoined all students  to pay their school fees for the 2024/2025 session as soon as possible, warning that: ‘’Only students who have paid school fees will be allowed into the lecture and examination hall’’.
