The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo has announced the promotion of three new Professors and two Readers.
The professors are Patrick Olanrewaju Osho, Department of Haematology and Acting Dean, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences; Joseph Irewole Fatukasi, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Clinical Sciences; and Professor Akinwunmi Ayodeji Akinbodewa, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
The Readers are Dr Lasun Tunde Ogundele , Department of Physics, Faculty of Science; and Dr Babawale Peter Olatunji, Department of Biosciences and Biotechnology, Faculty of Science.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Adesegun Fatusi, while disclosing the promotion of the new Professors and Readers, congratulated and encouraged them to see their new ranks as a call to more service. In his words, “I congratulate the newly promoted Professors and Readers. It is a testament to your dedication and diligence to research, teaching and community service in your respective fields. While I rejoice with you on these academic attainments, I want to encourage you to see your promotion as a call to more service to humanity!”
